U Larsing (1838-1863)

U Larsing was an Evangelist missionary from India. He was among the first Khasi Missionaries to visit and preach in England and Wales during the early 1860s. He died at Tŷ Cerrig in Caergwrle in 1863 whilst visiting the area doing missionary work. He was subsequently buried in Chester with a substantial memorial marking his grave.
