Glamorgan Summer School
As a seaside town and holiday resort near to the urban areas of southern Wales and western England, Barry leant itself as a natural location for a summer school. Schools such as these took place during the summer months, providing educational and recreational facilities to those attending. Glamorgan Summer School provided students with the opportunities to undertake drama, writing, reading, music and games, for example. The summer school was possibly located at Barry Training College and saw both men and women attend.
