Roger Trenfield British Army

This is a collection of photographs and filmed interviews with British Army Veteran roger Trenfield. Roger joined the Royal Army Service Corps in January 1952. He trained as a driver and remained with the Corps as it later changed to the Royal Corps of transport. During a 22 year career, Roger served overseas, which included tours in Jordan and Cyprus. He rose to the rank of Sergeant and became a specialist VIP driver. During his VIP driver role he met many high ranking officials, including driving Lord Louis Mountbatten. His interviews offer the viewer an insight into the varies career of a specialist Driver in the British Army during the mid and later part of the 20th century. ***Caution should be exercised when viewing Roger's films, as he describes his involvement in some traumatic incidents ***
