David Tomlinson - British Army
This collection of video film and photographs document the service of British Army Veteran David "Tommo" Tomlinson. David talks about his 15 year career with the Coldstream Guards and Royal Army Ordnance Corps between 1969 and 1984, during an interview which is presented in two video films, recorded at his home in May 2024. David also offers a short candid account of his childhood. Overcoming the significant challenges he faced in his childhood and going on to experience a successful career in the military, was the driving factor in David wishing to give an interview for the Archive. He hopes his story will inspire children of today to overcome their own challenges and achieve greater things for themselves.
