Gwenda Richards

The interviewee has enjoyed television over the years, during her childhood people would come to her home to watch television. Children's programmes have been especially important. She says the series Forsyte Saga changed the Sunday service. When S4C began broadcasting she was over the moon having Welsh television, remembers Saunders Lewis' dramas especially. She is dismayed with S4C now.She was in the thick of it in Caernarfon during the Investiture but it meant nothing to her.From the broadcasts of the Aberfan disaster she remembers mothers crying and ministers being interviewed.She remembers watching election results at a friend's house, and thought that television influences election results.
