Description

A hand-tinted souvenir postcard marking the official opening in 1904 by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra of the spectacular series of dams and reservoirs in the Elan Valley. Here the King and Queen are pictured performing the opening ceremony, with carriages of the royal train seen in the background.
