Description

A hand-tinted souvenir postcard marking the official opening in 1904 by King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra of the spectacular series of dams and reservoirs in the Elan Valley. Here the King and Queen are seen after leaving the royal train to inspect Craig goch dam, the topmost dam in the series of four structures in the valley.
