Description

The half-timbered old Market Hall on the left housed the pioneering cycle business of Tom Norton and medicinal baths at various times. The most prominent buildings in this view, the market hall and the church, have now gone, but Park Crescent on the right looks much the same today. The poster behind the children advertises the programme at the Albert Hall theatre nearby.
