Description

Originally, Rhyl's pier extended far enough out to sea to provide a landing stage despite the shallow shelving of the shore. This is a delightful card of the embarking and disembarking of passengers. I've read that services operated to Bangor,Llandudno and Liverpool.
The booking office, located at the pier entrance, would raise a flag to inform the public that a steamer was ready to take on passengers. The steamers heydays were 1911 to 1913 when the fare to Liverpool was 2/-.
