Description

May 2019 saw a new roof being placed on Bettws Chapel, the first restoration to have taken place in over 100 years. Whilst carrying out the work it was discovered that several species of bats were found to be nesting in the roof space. These include Pipistrellus pipistrellus (Common Pipistrelle), Myotis mystacinus (Whiskered), Myotis brandtii (Brandt’s), Myotis natterer (Natterers), Plecotus auratus (Brown long-eared) and Barbastella Barbastellus (Barbastelle).
