Description

Son of a couple living on the estate, Sargent Arthur Brinley Thomas died in Le Thour in France after being shot down in 1943. The investigation into his disappearance and death took four years, and eventually, his body was identified and his grave marked. The family eventually visited the grave in the 80s.
