Description

600 year old wooden sculpture of a Jesse figure. Only one in the world and formed out of a single oak. Tomb of Sir William ap Thomas and wife Gwladys. It is thought that the beautiful tomb survived the Reformation due to the family's affinities with the Tudors.
A beadsman hidden for centuries below the foot of the figure of Sir Richard Herbert of Ewyas. Revealed during restoration work.
