Description

This is episode 17 which is Part One of 2 episodes outlining the brutal events in Elaine County, Arkansas. During the Red Summer of 1919 in the United States there was a series of brutal attacks on communities of Black people, possibly the worst was The Massacre in Elaine, Arkansas. This video is Part One of the story as narrated by Ossie Davis and created by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation.
