Description

A Carte de Visite photograph of a Police Constable no. 242 of what was then named Glamorganshire Constabulary. His name is not known.

The crown on the helmet plate is one from the period of Queen Victoria, so the photo can be definitely dated to being pre 1901. The style of the helmet suggests late 1890's.

Photographic Studio of T. O. Williams, Bridgend.

*The Ross Mather Police Memorabilia of Wales Collection.
