Description

Kevin Hawke is a keen diver and Living Seas Wales volunteer. This image is taken from his dive log and records a dive at Stack Rocks, Little Haven Reef on the 1st September 1996. During the dive he observed a variety of marine wildlife which he describes in the "Dive Details" section of the log book (transcribed below).
Dive details: Dived on reef at north end Stack Rocks, to enable me to qualify for 20m dive. Free decent onto the top of the reef at 15m the vis was good. Saw a large Ballan wrasse and a number of Pollok. Went deeper down the reef to 18m. It got darker the deeper we went, with a current against us - quite hard work. Peter showed me the anemone garden with lots of life to be seen - wall to wall anemones all feeding on the current. More wrasse and Pollak. Down to 50 bar all to soon so had to surface. Wonderful dive.
