Description

Kevin Hawke is a keen diver and Living Seas Wales volunteer. This image is taken from his dive log and records a dive at North Wall, Skomer on the 19th July 1997. During the dive he observed a variety of marine wildlife which he describes in the "Dive Details" section of the log book (transcribed below).
Dive details: Launched out of Gelliswick, five boats! Thought we were all diving the 'lucy' but Alan let us know on the way out we wouldn't be allowed, yet? Had to wait for Alan and Phil to return, then they took us across to the North wall. Barry had a problem after kitting up - out of breath. Free decent to 6m close into the wall, lots of kelp, sea lettuce ect. Then dropped off to max depth swam along the wall comming up gradually. Found a lobster with only one claw, lots of edible and spider crabs and a male cuckoo wrasse. Barry had the reel while I inflated his S.M.B.
