Description

In this letter to the Rev. Michael D. Jones, Owen Edwards notes that Lewis Jones had visited a man named Harris. The Committee had written to Harris to seek his opinion before forming a company. The reference to the formation of the company would suggest that this letter was written in the months after the Settlement was established. The 'Welsh Colonising and General Trading Company' was formed early in 1866 and both Michael D. Jones and Owen Edwards were on its board of directors.
