Description
Lewis Jones writes to inform Llwyd ap Iwan that he should pursue his studies in Berlin for the time being, as he is not yet needed to work on the railway scheme in Patagonia. He adds that the scheme is coming along well. He also notes that some 3 or 5 leagues of land could be made available to his father, Michael D. Jones, in recognition of the money which he has lost through his work with the Settlement. Perhaps the Settlers could be persuaded to provide livestock as a form of repayment for the money that they owe to Jones. Lewis Jones suggests that Llwyd might be interested in overseeing this land and livestock, but acknowledges that a more practical proposal would be for him to be involved in the new railway project.
