This picture shows the 60" wide Davy 4 High Sheet Mill used for the cold cross rolling of AA2004 ( superplastic) sheet at Rheola, and subsequently moved to Aluminium Corporation at Dolgarrog for the same purpose at the end of 1981 when the Rheola(Resolven) Works was closed. The mill continued inoperation at Dolgarrog until 2007 when Dolgarrog Aluminium was forced into receivership. The alloy is still cast in the UK at the Luxfer MEL Technologies plant in Swinton, Manchester and finish rolled on a similar sized 4 high sheet mill in Madison, IL in the United States.
