Description

In the 'Aberystwyth Official Guide and Souvenir' published in 1924 by the Aberystwyth Corporation, there is a half-page advert for the Brynawel Hotel with an accompanying photograph. The advert states that the hotel is a 'First Class Residential Boarding Establishment' with 'Every Home Comfort', 'Garage Easy Distance'. The proprietor was D Herbert, who made a point of promoting the fact that the hotel was 'Patronised by Colonial Visitors'. The building is now a Grade II listed building retaining some of late Georgian features.
