Description

The 'infirmary' is marked on the map accompanying the Borough Guide to Aberystwyth published by the Town Council and Edward J Burrows in around 1905. The infirmary, also known as Aberystwyth and Cardiganshire General Hospital, operated from 1838 until 1966. It was demolished in 1998/9. All that remains today is the dedication plaque and the path which winds through attractive gardens to a new housing development.
