These scenes are taken from a viewpoint on the eastern slopes of the Upper Swansea Valley, above the village of Ystradgynlais. The bright yellow flowers are wild gorse.

Looking south-west, across the county border into Glamorgan and Mynydd Allt-y-grug above the village of Ystalyfera.

Image 2:

Looking north-west, towards the Black Mountain (Mynydd Du) in Carmarthenshire.
