Description

Image 1:

The single-track railway line running northwards out of Bow Street towards Machynlleth. The view is from the railway bridge. Sadly, I discovered that Bow Street no longer has a railway station. The nearest station is at Aberystwyth, three miles to the southwest.

Looking south from the railway bridge towards where the station was once situated.

Image 3:

Looking down-line from the same viewpoint as the previous picture. Aberystwyth is three miles away.

Image 4:

Most of the former railway station site is now occupied by this builder's yard. Looking across the yard from the A487 one can see a chapel rising above the surroundings.

Image 5, 6: Just over the railway bridge is Noddfa Congregational Chapel, overlooking the railway line.

For more photographs of Noddfa Chapel, see my Welsh Churches and Chapels Collection
