Description

"I went to New Quay twice in the 1980’s; 1983 Youth Hostelling with the 1st Calverton Guides. I remember New Quay as a lovely quiet holiday spot and we had a swim at 9pm at night with our Guide Leader which was freezing!

Unfortunately we didn’t see any marine life. To be honest, at the time, I didn’t know there were seals and dolphins. Whether that was a lack of advertising, lack of marine life or it didn’t occur to us there might be, I don’t know. Anyway, the Guides were so noisy we probably would have scared them off!"
