Description

This image shows some of the original leather bound ledger books in use at Lysaght's, Newport by its committee in the mid 20th century. They are written in cursive script that was so common and widely taught. This style of writing has now mostly been lost. These ledger books show minutes of the committee meetings that took place. There are also day books with account details of money and subs taken and expenses incurred. It has been made possible to share this with thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund
