Description
1943. A No 6 British Flying Training School PT17A in flight PT 17A. More commonly known as a 'Stearman' RAF cadet pilots from mid-1943 onwards were instructed for around 130hrs 'Primary' training before graduating to 'Advanced' training on the North American AT6A 'Harvard' undertaking a further 70hrs flying time before passing out with their pilot's 'wings'. There are still many examples of these WW2 era aircraft flying today.
