Description

Until the 9th of February 1922 the village of Hook did not have a direct road link with Haverfordwest. There were rough tracks which the women of Hook tried to keep open but for most of the year they were impassable. The new road was made to link Hook with Freystrop and was eventually constructed by pennies collected from the poor and donations kindly given by the leading figures in the area. The road was opened on February 9th 1922
