Tredegar November 18th 1839
Sir
At eleven O'clock this night
understanding that Thomas Bray was
about to leave this place I advised
with Mr Summers Harford and took
him into Custody I told the Pri-
soner he was charged with carrying
an unlawful Weapon, he said it was
a foolish job and could not help
it, it was only the handle of a
Mop Stick he took out of his Garden
and put a saucepan handle to the
end of it, a Man came and called
him and he was foolish enough to
go he went down Stow Hill with
them but he did nothing I thought
it best to send him pt Coach,
