Sir,
I am in rece- pt of your Note
of the 4th Inst, I have no evidence
that I can give ag-t Joseph Davies
only I believe that he is a Member
of the Chartist Club at Wm Williams
Argoed Mr Davies's Son I cant say
any thing but I heard that he is is a Member
Mr Pugh of the Coach & Horses - I cant say
whether he was at Newport or not
but had a Chartist lodge in his House
however I am given to learn
that he has been wounded that
may bring it to light, Mr Jones of
Bryn or Mr Phelton Myrtle Grove[*]
