in the Coy of Mon. Laborer
Sam[ue]l Etheridge late of the parish of Christchurch.

(to wit) The Jurors for our Sovereign Lady the Queen upon their
oath present that Lewis Rowland late of Bedwas in the County
[with pencil addition above line]Thomas Llewellin late of St. Woollos
of of Monmouth Laborer heretofore to wit on the 1st day of October in the year
of our Lord 1839 and on divers other days & times between that day & the taking this Inquisition with force & arms to wit at Bedwas af[o]r[esai]d in
the County af[o]r[esai]d did unlawfully & seditiously conspire confederate & agree with divers other
persons whose names are to the Jurors unknown to raise & make insurrections riots routs and seditions & unlawful assemblies within this realm &
& obstruct the laws & government
of this realm oppose & prevent their due execution
& in furtherance of the said conspiracy confederacy & agreement
the said Lewis Rowland during the time afo[resai]d to wit on the
1st day of November in the year afo[resai]d to wit at Bedwas afo[resai]d
in the County afo[resai]d did advise persuade & endeavour to
persuade divers subjects of our Lady the Queen there
& then assembled & whose names are to Jurors
unknown to arm themselves for the purpose of
obstructing the Laws & government of this realm & further
more effectually raising insurrections & tumults within
the same ag[ain]st the peace of our said Lady the Queen
her Crown & Dignity, and the Jurors af[oresai]d upon their
oath af[o]r[esai]d do further present that the said Lewis Rowland [in pencil:-] Tho(ma)s Llewellin
[in pencil:-] Ben(jami)n Richards and George Gerge heretofore to wit on the said 1st day of Oc[obe]r in the year
afo[resai]d & of divers other days & times between that day
& the taking of this Inquisition with force & arms to wit
at Bedwas afo[resai]d in the County afo[resai]d did unlawfully conspire confederate
& agree with divers persons to the Jurors unknown to
raise & make insurrections tumults riots routs & unlawful assemblies within this realm.
