Description

Made In Tredegar presents a series of short films focusing in some of the iconic buildings in Blaenau Gwent. From Inns and Taverns, to places of Worship, Industrial production and Social Gatherings. Working with the Troedrhiwgwair Trust, we are pleased to bring you the third programme in a series of three on this remarkable village.

Located at the far end of the village of Troedrhiwgwair, this idillic farm would become The Fountain Inn, which would serve its community for over 100 years. As the communal heart of the village it would play a vital role in the community before sadly closing after the death of the owner. Today, despite being a Grade II listed building, it stands empty waiting for the next chapter in its history.

This project was supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Welsh Government and CADW. Made with the people of Blaenau Gwent and the Volunteers of Made In Tredegar. English and Welsh subtitles are available through the Youtube subtitling feature.
