Description

A.H. (Nan) Davies continues to speak to Glenys James about her involvement in the Eisteddfodau held in Alberta, Canada, including training Canadian children to learn and sing Welsh songs. She took pride that during the six years under her tuition the children never missed a practice and continue to sing the lullabies to their own children. Mrs Davies also discusses how she came to make and sell a type of bread the recipe of which was native to Wales. This bread came to be incredibly popular amongst the local elite as well as medical professionals and so in time, enabled her to launch her own bakery business. At the end of the recording Mrs Davies sings some traditional Welsh songs.
