Description

Steam engines and ships from Neath Abbey Ironworks helped to power the Industrial Revolution and turn Wales into the world’s first industrial nation. Some 8,000 engineering plans from the works are preserved in the West Glamorgan Archives in Swansea. The collection has been inscribed in UNESCO’s Memory Of The World Programme.
