Description

The Walnut Tree Railway Viaduct was built by the Barry Railway in 1901 to transport coal from the Rhymney Valley to the new Dock at Barry. The last train to the quarry ran over the viaduct in 1967. The viaduct was deconstructed in 1969. You can see two of the support columns from the A470 road. Thank you to Michael Whan for sending us this photograph.
