Biography of Benjamin Johnson b1892, Liberia. Ben and over 180 Identified West Africans were part of a migration of Seamen from Liberia to Wales. This is one story of many.
Benjamin's story takes us from his early life in Liberia 1892-1969 and the Kru people of West Africa; work on Merchant ships from Sierra Leone; his War service on ships during the First and Second World War; life post-war - settling in Wales, finding employment and raising a family.
