Booklet to accompany the Ystradgynlais Heritage Quilt

This is the published booklet which goes with the finished Ystradgynlais and District Heritage Quilt. Each contributor was asked to write a short paragraph explaining why they had chosen to make their square and what memories or emotions it evoked for them. In 2021, Ystradgynlais and District WI was awarded a Heritage Lottery grant to make a quilt representing aspects of our local heritage. Participants each contributed a square which was then combined into a quilt. Photographs of each square and a description of the reason the feature was chosen were published in a booklet. We are grateful for a grant from the 15 Minute Heritage project funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund, CADW and Welsh Government, which made our project possible.
