Description

A photograph of motor cars on the road down to Martin's Haven landing, from whence boats depart for Skomer Island.

"An interesting piece of trivia is that J. J. Neales brought one of the first motor cars to Pembrokeshire. The cars seen here are Humbers, made in the 1908-1910 period. The car on the road, BO 249, had a Cardiff registration. The Car emerging from the shes, L 1083, was a Glamorgan County Council number; it's a blue Beeston Humber, with Roi des Belges style coachwork, first registered to J. J. Neale on 22 July 1908 and sold on 25 July 1912."
