This photograph shows the destruction of the Derio Cemetery in the Basque Country by aerial attack during the Spanish Civil War. The Spanish caption on the reverse of the reads: "Derio Cemetery, like many of the glorious Basque country, that has been barbarously destroyed by German aircraft" demonstrates the strength of feeling at the destruction caused by the aerial attacks.
