Description
The visit of Mr Jacinto Benavente to a hospital in the Blanquer district of Valencia during the Spanish Civil War. John Williams Hughes, who brought these images back to Wales from Spain, was a volunteer with the humanitarian effort during the Civil War. He also broadcast news of the conflict back to Britain from Valencia and Madrid.
