Description

This photograph was sent to us by Huw Daniel of 'Pushball' being played at Ogmore Valley. "They are playing on a large field between the Wyndham Arms Public House (not in the images) and the "Newmarket" Stables of the Wyndham Colliery (1865-1984), the single storey White building in both images. In the top image the former Stables for the Ocean Colliery, (1872-1984) (originally called the "Edwards Pit", later "Blaenogwr Colliery", "Ocean Western Colliery" and lastly the "Wyndham/Western Combined Colliery") can be seen as the Right hand side of the "Aber Houses"," said Huw.
