Description

These photographs were sent to us by Jeff Shute of his mother, Dilys Shute (nee Kift) and his father, Selwyn Joseph Shute, both of whom served in the Second World War. Jeff said: "Mum was an Ack Ack or anti-aircraft sergeant. Dad was in the tank core, The Desert Rats. He came out of the army as corporal, as he refused high ranks. But was an acting tank commander on a number of occasions. This is partly why he ended up with the "MM" Military Medal."
