Description

This took place two days after the unveiling of the White Rabbit Memorial. There is a plaque on this White Rabbit Memorial which states, 'On this very shore, during happy rambles with Alice Liddell, Lewis Carroll was inspired to write that literary treasure Alice in Wonderland which has charmed children for generations. Unveiled by the Rt. Hon. David Lloyd George, O.M., M.P., September 6th 1933.'
