Description

By the end of the nineteenth century, Llandeilo had its fair share of performance venues, such as the chapels, the Civic Hall (or Drill Hall / Victoria Hall), Market Hall, and St Teilo's Church. These hosted countless concerts, fundraisers, and eisteddfodau, which drew audiences from far and wide. This is a programme of an Open-air Concert held at Penlan Park, Llandilo / Llandeilo, on the August Bank Holiday, 1919, at 2:30pm. Proceeds in aid of ‘Llandilo Branch Welsh National Federation of Discharged and Demobilised Sailors and Soldiers’. The Chairman was Captain W. L. Roberts; the Accompanist was Miss Nellie Griffiths; and a Piano Solo by Miss Nancy Jones LLCM was performed.
