Description

By the end of the nineteenth century, Llandeilo had its fair share of performance venues, such as the chapels, the Civic Hall (or Drill Hall / Victoria Hall), Market Hall, and St Teilo's Church. These hosted countless concerts, fundraisers, and eisteddfodau, which drew audiences from far and wide. This is a programme of a Grand Concert held under the auspices of the Salem Calvinistic Methodist Church at the Drill Hall Llandilo / Llandeilo on Christmas night, 25 December 1926. Among the artists were well known soloists and a violinist. The accompanist was Miss Nancy Jones LRAM LTCL; and the Chairman was Councillor T. M. Williams JP. Proceeds of the event in aid of Church Funds.
