Description

By the end of the nineteenth century, Llandeilo had its fair share of performance venues, such as the chapels, the Civic Hall (or Drill Hall / Victoria Hall), Market Hall, and St Teilo's Church. These hosted countless concerts, fundraisers, and eisteddfodau, which drew audiences from far and wide. This is a programme of a Grand Concert by Brynamman / Brynaman Choir at Capel Newydd Llandilo / Llandeilo on St David’s Day 1937 at 7.30 pm. The Conductor of Brynamman / Brynaman Choir was Mr Haydn O. Williams; the Accompanist was Mr Iorwerth Jones; and the President was Captain J.W. Nicholas, High Sheriff of Carmarthenshire.
