Description

By the end of the nineteenth century, Llandeilo had its fair share of performance venues, such as the chapels, the Civic Hall (or Drill Hall / Victoria Hall), Market Hall, and St Teilo's Church. These hosted countless concerts, fundraisers, and eisteddfodau, which drew audiences from far and wide. This is a programme of a performance of the Opera ‘The Yeomen of the Guard’ by The Llandilo Amateur Operatic Society, Market Hall, Llandilo / Llandeilo, on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 5,6 & 7 of May 1931, at 7:30pm. The performances were conducted by Mr R. J. Evans; the Producer was Dr J. H. Lloyd; the Accompanists were Mrs Daniel, Mrs Dan Jones LRAM, and Miss Nancy Jones LRAM LTCL; with The Ammanford and District Orchestra.
