Description

By the end of the nineteenth century, Llandeilo had its fair share of performance venues, such as the chapels, the Civic Hall (or Drill Hall / Victoria Hall), Market Hall, and St Teilo's Church. These hosted countless concerts, fundraisers, and eisteddfodau, which drew audiences from far and wide. This is an advertising booklet of 10 sides with minor details of entertainments, such as "Peg of my Heart" and (scenes of) music accompainment, including 2 violins, a cello and piano, held under the auspices of CM Church. The adverts in the booklet are for mainly local businesses and a few based in Swansea. Held on Christmas and Boxing night 1930. Also an advert for a performance of "The Last of Mrs Cheyney" at Landeilo Drill Hall on 13, 14, and 15 January 1931.
