Description

This film was made by Mr Ivor Thomas of Wales, who was serving in the RAF in the protectorate of Aden in 1960. He used his 35mm Cine camera recorder to capture everyday scenes of Aden. The film offers the viewer a unique snapshot of Aden in 1960. Ivor successfully recorded moving images of street scenes, furniture and people going about their business. He also concentrated upon local landmarks, such as the beaches, Steamer Point, Crater and Ma’alla main. The original 35mm material was copied onto a DVD and then to digital format, which is the format you are viewing.
