Description

This is a photograph of two Cheshire regiment soldiers aboard HMS Forth, which was docked at Egypt in 1950-1952. The soldiers are holding a regimental shield which was carved by soldier, Corporal Harry Comley and presented to the ship's captain. This was done as a courtesy to mark the exchange visit of these soldiers, who spent 48 hours aboard the ship on an exchange visit.
