Description

Ambulance parked outside Casualty (Accident and Emergency), East Glamorgan General Hospital, Church Village, during the Big Snow January 1982. The road conditions made it very difficult for ambulances to reach the hospital. A mother to be arrived by RAF helicopter and volunteers with 4 wheel drive vehicles and citizen band radios brought in other patients. For almost a week patients fit for discharge were unable to get home.
